Come celebrate the Year of the Monkey at the Seattle Chinatown-International District’s Lunar New Year Celebration. Over the last few years, Lunar New Year Celebration is the largest event of its kind in the region and showcases diversity, richness and culture of the Asian community. The collaboration with other neighborhood businesses/organizations it has helped draw thousands of visitors from throughout the region for a day of festivities. The celebration include traditional dragon and lion dances, Japanese Taiko Drumming, martial arts and other cultural performances on the Lion Stage. Combined with arts, crafts and a variety of family friendly activities there is something for everyone.

Restaurants across the Chinatown-ID will be offering a variety of $3 tastes from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and beyond! Sample (and collect stamps) from FIVE (5) or more restaurants and you will be eligible to enter a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE of TWO INTERNATIONAL ROUND-TRIP ON DELTA AIR LINES! Simply return the stamp card by 4:00 p.m. at the Information Booth at the Lunar New Year Celebration!

Bring your children and friends to enter into our fourth annual Children’s Parade Contest presented bywhere they can show off their best cultural New Year’s outfit on stage!
