The Year of the Rooster is officially here so don’t forget to save the date for the 2017 Lunar New Year Celebration! Over the last few years, the Lunar New Year Celebration is the largest event of its kind in the region and showcases diversity, richness and culture of the Asian community. The collaboration with other neighborhood businesses/organizations has helped draw thousands of visitors from throughout the region for a day of festivities. The celebration include traditional dragon and lion dances, Japanese Taiko Drumming, martial arts and other cultural performances on the Main Stage. Combined with arts, crafts and a variety of family friendly activities there is something for everyone.

Celebrate the year of the Rooster by treating your taste buds to a trip around the world at the annual Lunar New Year $3 Food Walk presented by Delta Air Lines! Restaurants across the Chinatown-ID has will offer a variety of $3 bites from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and beyond! Sample & collect stamps from FIVE (5) or more restaurants and became eligible to enter a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE of ROUND-TRIP TICKETS ON DELTA AIR LINES! Attendees can simply return the stamp card by 4:00 p.m. to the Information Booth at the Lunar New Year Celebration for a chance at the prize!

Lots of adults, children, & pets will enter into our eighth annual Children’s Costume Contest presented by See application for details. Good Luck!where they showed off their best cultural New Year’s outfit on stage! Parents are welcome to accompany their children on stage. Judges announced winners and prizes that same day! You can pre-register by printing and submitting their contest form from their website.
